Who are Malones?

  • Director

    After training with a local accountancy firm for five years and becoming chartered, I decided to move to a larger practice at a top ten firm in Nottingham.

    During my time there, I seconded to Boston Massachusetts USA, where I undertook an audit busy season assignment. I had the opportunity to work all across the east coast, with my biggest highlight being that of working out of the New York office in Times Square.

    When I returned to England, I realised that I had the skill set to run my own practice, and so with the support from my business partner Ben; we jointly formed Malones Accounting Limited.

    I spend most of my time consulting for businesses across the East Midlands.

    My primary focus at Malones is to ensure that your business is tax efficient, you are compliant with current legislation and that you understand the reasons behind my advice, in layman’s terms, that avoids unnecessary financial jargon.

  • Director

    I started working in an accountancy practice when I first left school and stayed there for around six years.

    I then moved into industry where I was able to gain valuable experience in managing bookkeeping, payroll, accounts, credit control and more.

    This experience allowed me to build relationships with key stakeholders within the business and deliver financial advice and reports.

    I was offered an opportunity to purchase ‘True Window & Glass Centre’ in 2020, we then purchased another business in 2023, to which I became Managing Director in 2024.

    Over the years, I have developed a real passion for supporting and growing businesses on both a technical and operational level.

    Karl and I saw an opportunity to use our skillset to help business owners grow and realise their potential, and thus Malones was formed!
